Valentine's Day Mini with Mailbox

As most of you know I participated in a February celebration with Just a Few Friends design group...or at least I was supposed to. The night I was supposed to post this mailbox and mini I ended up in the hospital with a pretty critical situation. After I got out of the hospital I was able to post the mailbox but didn't post the mini because I did not feel like it was completed and wasn't happy with what I had. So I have taken more time and completed the mini that goes into this cute little mailbox. I changed some things, took out some things and added more things...lol

Also to let you know we are actually doing this every month. This group is hosted by Elsa with Just a Few Designs with her daughter Krystal and Aussie friend Kimi. Linda and I have joined their group and are having a wonderful time. We will be posting for Saint Patrick's day on March 17th and we have a really cool giveaway opportunity! I have posted the group information at the end of this post! Enjoy!

My Valentine Project...Late! I know!

This is part of the Valentine project that I was to post last Monday night just in time for Valentines Day but I ended up in the hospital with a pretty serious situation. I am on the mend! So here is the Mailbox I created for this post. I also have a mini album that goes inside but it isn't quite where I want it to be now. I had decorated it very simply and will post pics sometime today or tomorrow. I am getting to use my new camera I got for Christmas though from my wonderful hubby! It is a Kodak Easyshare and is pretty neat and easy to use...anyway! I hope you like my Valentine mailbox even if it is late! LOL!

Update!

Wow! So much has happened in this last few weeks...even more so the last few days!

I am alive and praising the Lord! I thank you all for your calls and well wishes. I hope this answers the questions some of you all have asked me! As most of you know I had to have a heart cath last week and while the results of that were negative, about 5 days later I experienced what is called a Pseudoaneurysm of the Femoral Artery and a larger sized blood clot in my right leg. A procedure was done to repair the aneurysm or pseudoaneurysm...and well I am on blood thinners and other meds for a bit to take care of the clot. I will need to go to the clinic twice a day to receive injections and will be going back for an ultrasound of the clot next tuesday to see what has gone on with it in the meantime. They are suggesting a second procedure at that time to go in an try to remove the clot and install a "filter' in the artery below the lungs to prevent the blood clot from going into the lung. I thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and will keep you all posted, Please continue to remember my family in your prayers! Love and Prayers to you all!
I have a couple of projects that I need to tweak that I was using for my post with Just a Few Friends. I had every intention of posting it on Monday night but this was the night I had to have emergency surgery. So I will put the finishing touches on and take my pictures and post as soon as I possibly can! Thank you all for your patience and understanding!

New Design Team!

Hello Ladies! Welcome to my new adventure! I have just become a member of Just a Few Friends (JAFF).

Since most of you know Elsa with Just a Few Designs http://www.justafewdesigns.blogspot.com and KimiBee.I would like to take this time to announce that they along with Elsa's daughter Krystal have created a new design team! Most of their followers, including myself, have been wishing and waiting for this to happen for quite some time! I just never expected to be asked to join so I am overwhelmed and honored! Along with these ladies, myself and Linda have become JUST A FEW FRIENDS (JAFF)!!!

What we intend to do is create projects on a regular basis...sometimes monthly, sometimes more! You are invited to come along and join us for some fun projects, great company and some prizes along the way! For prize entries you must follow each blog and comment on each lady's project to be entered!

So come on in and stay for a visit with us.

Enjoy! If you have come from Kimi's blog to mine then please go forward to Linda's at http://simpleandsassycreations.blogspot.com

For my first project we were asked to create something relating to teacups, saucers or teapots...Since I collect them I was more than a little excited! For my project I have created this Teddy Bear Tea Party...in a Box! I created the box by recycling a First Aid Bandage box and covering with Butterfly Gardens paper line from Pink Paislee. The miniature tea set was a gift from my daughter when she was about 11 years old...she is now 25! The teddy bears were a set I used for a Christmas scene display every year for Christmas, except for this one!

A WORD OF ADVICE!!!! If you are recycling a box...trust me... it is easier to take the box apart and cover it, then put it back together! MUCH EASIER!

This is what it looks like set up but the following pictures show how they fit into the box.
