July 4th Blog Hop with Just a Few Friends!
Ok everyone! The Pride is on the prowl! We have increased in numbers and that means more fun-filled and wonderful projects! This could be dangerously fun! This month's theme is, of course, the 4th of July! I love July 4th and I love celebrating with my family and friends but most of all this is the time of year when my husband and I decided to begin our lives together over 16 years ago! It has been such a wonderful journey and I look forward to many years to come! But we must not forget what this day means...it means freedom...freedom to worship, freedom to live, freedom to speak and so many more freedoms! My husband has just surprised me with a trip to the beach...even if it is for just a couple of days, I LOVE the beach! So when you read this I will be sitting on the beach watching the fireworks!
My project this month is, I believe, a little different than any other post I have done. As some of you know my husband and I have decided to start our own business. I am a Cosmetologist and he is a Massage Therapist. We have worked together on and off through most of our life together and we really enjoy it! We were going to do this about 5 years ago and decided not to for many different reasons but have decided NOW is the time. So July 9th we will be Independent Contractors at a local salon called Pier 17...and using our chosen business name "Unforgettable". Unforgettable at Pier 17 has a pretty good ring to it...lol
Anyway, I will be doing hair, nails and skin services as well as ear piercings and facepainting parties. One of the things I used to love to do was Nail art. I had gotten fairly decent at it...if I do say so myself but unfortunately if you don't use something...you lose it. So I am practicing up and trying to decide if this is a service I will be able to do in our salon...SOOOOO....I have created some nail art to do in celebration of July 4th. I guess you could say...my claws are out....but in a good way! I would like to share this with you guys and hope you like them! It is so much easier to do an a live person..but my husband was the only one in the house and while he is encouraging...lol! I will also be using smaller gem stones in my designs. The dotted pattern was inspired by Indigonova1 on youtube...so cute! Enjoy!
Don't forget that this is a blog hop and you may have gotten to this sight by accident and if you did please start at the beginning with Elsa http://

ReplyDeleteUnforgettable At Pier 17 is a fantastic name!! I wish you and your hubby all the luck in the world on your new endeavor together. I know I love to be with my Boo and wished that we could work together. You nail art is SPECTACULAR!!! I wish I lived close enough to you to enjoy your nail art myself. I love making my toes fancy in the Summertime. And in Arizona it is literally summertime 9 months out of the year lol. I hope that you are enjoying your special time at the beach!! Happy 4th of July to you!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Suzie - these are fabulous! I love to get my nails done for the holidays, but I don't do fake nails. My daughter started doing nails and hair in high school and will be starting college in a few months so I have her do my nails when I can talk her into it. I'll bet if I show her these, she will be excited to try something like this! Thanks for sharing this fun artwork :)
ReplyDeleteWow, very impressive nail art. Would to have had mine all festive like that today. You did an amazing job. What an awesome surprise. So glad you did something totally unexpected.
